37 Replies to “Cambridge O Level Past Exam Papers”
Hello Blessing,
I am a Y10 British curriculum student, I was supposed to have my maths Cambridge exams in May-June but they got canceled so now Cambridge wanted us to take an online assessment instead. I’m going to go to AS next year and we will take only 3 subjects, I’m planning to take chem, bio, and physics. So I wanted to know if I fail my maths assessment does it mean I won’t get promoted to AS? I’m planning not to take maths next year. Can you please shed some light on this matter
It is important to take note that Maths is considered as a core subject when applying to college/university. Therefore, if you are you going to pursue further studies, you must pass Maths at IGCSE and consider taking Maths at AS Level.
Furthermore, some schools require at least five IGCSE certificates at grades 9 to 4/A* to C to continue at AS/A Level
We strongly suggest that you check with your preferred college/university for their entry requirement.
Hello,
Iam in year 9 now as a homeschooler.
I don’t have enough data about IGCSE & don’t understand what is meant by these code’s numbers.
Could you please help?
With regards to the exam papers, the first four numbers are the subject code (e.g. 5090 is the subject code of Biology), the next three are the exam series and year (s20 is June 2020), the next two letters is for the type of exam paper (QP is question paper, MS is mark scheme), and the last two numbers are the paper number and variant (22 means Paper 2 variant 2).
The variant number is for the different administrative zone. All the different time zones will have different set of papers. This is to maintain exam security, and to manage the timetabling of exams. You may check which administrative zone you are in here: https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-exam-schedules/

Please can you explain the subject code for Cambridge O’ Level exam ? for example in Mathematics, there are many different mathematics questions loaded. Which one is for Cambridge O’ Level for Gulf countries (Middle East) region ? the same goes to Biology , chemistry and physics. It is important to know the write past question paper so that one will not be studying with wrong past question papers. Thanks
