  1. How was Chemistry 31 guys? I see 32 was easy but I found variant 1 extremely hard.. ๐Ÿ™ Anyone else who has done it?

  2. I honestly regret studying this much for chem!! especially organic chemistry oh my god..
Hahahahahaha … Al Hamdullilah it was really good !!!

  3. its so unfair that many students in my class are cheating for these boards… ๐Ÿ™ our examiners are so lost and are so careless that anyone can cheat. people literally discussed all the answers for mcq today – shameless right? and I don’t even wanna be that person who tells on them but I just hate how I have to work so hard to earn my marks while these students just cheat with ease and get higher than me because of it. does anyone know what exactly happens if they are caught cheating? I want to imagine them getting caught and my imaginations must be realistic haha

    • they’ll get a zero in this subject and i guess they will be banned 5 years from doing their igcse !!!…i guess!

      • nope its not the school to be blamed only the students get disquallified and banned from any CIEs for 5 years

    • thats extremely unfair how can i compete with students from your school and in mine, i cant even move my lips, otherwise my exam will be cancelled … NOT FAIR ๐Ÿ™

    • Their papers get disqualified, I agree with you, it’s unfair. I have experienced this during bio paper6 but I stayed silent

    • Your paper gets cancelled- that’s what our exam officer says :/ . Ur not the only one though, during the math exam a teacher was helping some students. when i found out i was like :0. And the invigilators don’t even check us properly before we enter the hall. someone sneaked a cheat sheet and hid it in the bathroom(though it was found).

    • this is sooo unfair ,,, here no one is allowed to cheat and knowing that people don’t study and gt higher than u is terrible it is unfair to us too….

    • they get disqualified AND I agree its unfair even i’ve spotted ppl cheating but my invigilators dont seem to notice or perhaps they dont care

      Dear IGCSE Team….
      what shall we do??

      • Hello peeps,
You could inform the school’s headmaster/headmistress if you want to. They have to take measurable actions for such incident.

Just a word for you guys, cheating doesn’t mean they will get high marks ๐Ÿ™‚ . Why? Because people that cheat usually do not know the right answers. So the same group of people that do not know the answers will copy each other for the Wrong Answers ๐Ÿ˜‰ … Further more, they will run out of time because they waste time in looking around, and usually they can’t complete the paper – properly. ๐Ÿ™‚

Even if they did score high grades by cheating, but they know nothing inside them. If they continue to further study, they will face a lot of problems because their foundation is not strong. Either they have to continue to cheat, or they will drop out. So what will happen if they continue to cheat? That’s right, they will grow into a “Cheating person” or a “Cheater”. And this kind of people will not success in their life. They will spend their whole life running around try to find ways to cheat others in order to earn a living, and they will never have a good life.

We see this good example everyday in our lives. Do you think it’s worth it to cheat then? Think for long run ๐Ÿ™‚

    • omg! i know its so awful to be a tattle tale cause everyone will be mad … but these are board exams and u have to tell … cause they are making it unfair for everyone ! tell someone who u think will take some action .. and if ur scared tell them not to tell that u were the one that told

      • Thank god our school’s examiners are strict and they are doing everything they can to prevent cheeting or any other thing like that so i guess we are lucky to have a school like ours ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Guys for chem 32, what was the reason for why potassium nitrate fertilizer is better favored than sodium salt fertilizer? And for uses of ethanol can I say: solvent for chromatography and to make esters? Also, x=3? and why sodium nitrate fertilizer is found isn’t found in tropical regions ( I said cuz it reacts with water)… and for 12, there was this question; it was like thermal decomposition and neutralization or thermal decomposition and oxidation? and another mcq was that manufacturing of iron requires all three – CaO, heat and oxygen (A) – right?

    • I think the second fertiliser is favoured to the first one as it contains both potassium and nitrogen ions whereas the first ones only contain nitrogen ions. ๐Ÿ™‚
      Not sure though.
      ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • potassium nitrate is a better fertiliser because it contains two components of NPK fertilisers while sodium nitrate contains only one. Ethanol is a solvent for chromatography and yes it is used to make esters. Yup x=3 ๐Ÿ™‚ . The next one is right too. I wrote thermal decomposition and oxidation. It was manufacture of steel from iron, not manufacture of iron. but yes it requires all three.

    • 1- potassium nitrate contains both fertiliser (nitrogen and potassium )
2-I wrote it is used as a solvent and fuel ,though making esters might be correct
3-I wrote it will with water too ! Not sure
      4-I was confused at that too , I don’t think it’s decomposition
      5-heat isn’t needed ( oxygen and CaO ) only

    • It was a better fertiliser as it contained two of the three main ingredients (N,P,K) while sodium nitrate only contained N. I am not sure about esters as a use for ethanol. You are correct as sodium nitrate would dissolve in water a wash away. It was thermal decomposition and then oxidation and the last one is correct

    • It has more nutrients required for plants, and yes can be used as a solvent, x does equal to 3 , it dissolves in water, the rest where correct

    • dude, i did variant 2 and i dont remember a question being about fertilizers and “x=3”
whether u got the wrong variant or i did a different one.

      • yes it was mild steel, cuz mild steel has high density but question stated it has low density so it was the wrong option (c)! and thanks guys! I feel a lot more confident now ๐Ÿ™‚
