How was the math paper 4 for everyone?
I still don’t know how to do that hexagon question
I didn’t get the 4 mark question but I wrote somethings, don’t know whether relevant or not but I won’t lose all 4.
Is it just me or feb, march 16 was hard.
That Hexagon Question! It was really challenging. 0580/42/F/M/17. Any Predictions for the Grade Threshold for 2017? And also, How did you guys find the paper? Easy, right! Except for that one question, though. Sighs!
I hope you guys would have done very well ๐ but at the same time I hope that the Threshold doesn’t fluctuates! What was the answer to the 4 Mark question for Hexagon?
Such an #EasyPaper
the answer was 12.7
Some people stated the answer is 11.4 cm ! Ugh!! That question…!!!
dont worry dudes,
Two months and mark schemes will be out on this website.
how tho?! pls explain how it was 12.7
Even I got something around 11-12
in that spinner question, wat was the probability of getting 2 or 3 in one spin?
a few math tips for all present here
There will ALWAYS be a long Mensuration Question. Just study all the formulas and keep your answers to THREE SIGNIFICANT figures?THROUGHOUT the paper UNLESS they tell you to change it. Usually they tell you to give answers to two decimal places and when they tell this it means YOU GET A MARK FOR SHOWING THE ROUNDING. So put it to four d.m and show the rounding.
Also, they give you a quadratic equation with a practical question like ?show that x^2 is equal to blah blah. Show EVERYTHING. Don?t just solve the question on your calculator. Be specific. The examiners like specific candidates from my perspective after reading the examiner reports. They ALWAYS talk about candidates who don?t show their working. Math is ALL about showing your work. If you don?t know how to solve this SKIP the question and answer the next. You can solve this question later. It?s the same for all other questions.
The first few questions WILL include ratios and interest questions relating to real life. These may seem easy but THEY ARE NOT. Don?t freak out. If you KNOW your equations use them. If you know other ways to solve the question use it and show ALL your working. But ONLY if you forget the equations.
These are all I remember. I wish you the best of luck for your exams.
The paper 4 was tough
How was everyone’s paper 4, I found it tough :\\
