I’m Varshith from Hyderabad, India
This website is super helpful
Thank you so much
Hi Varsith,
Thank you so much for your kind words! We wish you well on your future endeavours.
Hey IGCSE Centre,
Long time no see! How are you guys? I just wanted to ask you how do you draft a Stage 1 Appeal to CIE ? Please reply as soon as you can. I have got an 89 in French IGCSE (0520) which I sent for re-valuation and I went up by 2 marks and my marks increased. As per the grade thresholds 173/200 is the minimum mark required to achieve an A* which I have obtained but, it is still written as an A. My centre advised me to go for an appeal but, I would like your guidance on how to go about it as there are not many details provided in the CIE Handbook. Thanks. Please reply as soon as possible!!
Thanks for the tips for IGCSE Exams, I got 3A*’s and 4A’s all thanks to you!! Keep it up!!

Dear Harsh,
You?re very much welcome! With regards on how to draft Stage 1 appeal, once you and your school decided to submit an appeal, it is then the responsibility of your school to lodge an appeal with CIE. The process will not include the further review of the candidate?s work.
Please read more about results and appeals here: https://www.cambridgeinternational.org/Images/223181-a-guide-to-enquiries-about-results-and-appeals.pdf
You may also give CIE a call to ask about the appeal procedure in details.
Please reply to my previous comment. Thanks
Hi Harsh,
We’ve already replied. Kindly check it.
Hello IGCSE team, This website is really wonderful. Can you please guide me with what careers can I get with the subjects I’ve chosen (English, Math, ICT, Physics, Chemistry, Bio)
I’m more good in ICT so I would like to know if I can do anything with ICT and Bio. Please help me !!!
Hi Fathima,
Thank you so much for your kind words. You may consider a career in IT if your interest is in ICT. You can also call up the university that you wish to apply and get their required subjects. You would have better idea in this way.
Hi IGCSE Team
I truly appreciate your help on uploading and organising the exam papers in order. Helps me a ton. Will surely recommend this website for other peers. Keep up your brilliant work. Also, can you give me any useful and valuable tips for doing maths exam and science exam. Thanks.????
Hello,
With Maths and Science subjects, you?ll need a lot of practice.
1. Learn and understand the key concepts and formulas. Familiarise/memorise the key equations/formulas (refer to the latest syllabus on what is expected: https://igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-subjects-syllabuses/).
2. Do revision based on the latest syllabus and practice with the latest past exam papers (https://igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-past-exam-papers/). Pay attention to the most common mistakes you always seem to make. Make notes and revise them, so you can avoid making the same mistakes in your actual exam.
Tips:
Minimize your reference checks. Try solving a problem with the formula without looking it up. You MUST do this as many times as you can. You will be able to remember the formulas/key equations better when you repeat this step.
Thank you so much you guys are the best!!!
You’re very much welcome!
Is it compulsory to do a foreign language in igcse
Hello Nae,
If this language is the official language for that country, then it would be compulsory to take that language in that country. You have to check with school if this rule apply to you or not. You can always opt out from this language if the country official rule does not apply to you.
how do i do that
Hi Nae,
You need to to check with the school on who is required to take the foreign language subject. We strongly suggest you to discuss with your school about this.
Ok… Thank You. It’s been sorted out
Hi Nae,
You’re welcome!
