Hii
Can you please tell me what the pass mark is for Maths?
Hi Rainberry,
You will have to refer to the grade threshold. Every year, the exam questions have slight differences on the level of difficulty. In order to provide equivalent A* achieving chance, the threshold is used to determine the grades for that year. Kindy download the grade threshold here: https://igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-past-exam-papers/
grade C is considered to be a core grade what does core grade mean
Hello Nathan,
Core syllabus cover minimum required syllabus. For ?Core? curriculum, the maximum grade entitled is Grade C. You will NOT be able to obtain Grade A*, A or B.
If you wish to achieve Grade A* or A, please go for ?Extended? curriculum. Extended syllabus covers both Core syllabus and more, it is wider than Core syllabus.
hi, igcse center do we need to get an ice certificate in order to persuade with as and a levels also if I take only 5 subjects in the Feb march series [english maths physics chemistry biology] will I get an ice award?
Hi Kapil,
ICE Award is not a mandatory certificate. ICE Award is simply a group award, for candidates who want to obtain an achievement with a wider range of subjects selection. It has no connection with AS/A-Level. Please read more here: https://igcsecentre.com/what-is-cambridge-ice/
If you would like to get an ICE Award, you have to register for ICE Award during your exam registration. If you did not register for ICE Award, you are not able to claim the award after that.
Cambridge ICE is awarded to candidates who pass in at least seven Cambridge IGCSE subjects, including two from Group 1 and one from each of Groups 2 to 5. The seventh subject may be chosen from any of the syllabus groups. As such, you did not meet the ICE Award requirement.
hey what to improve in economics
like actual tips
not just something like sTuDy MoRe
like real tips
i hope you understand
btw
love your website super cool
Hello Randy,
Thank you for your kind words.
We suggest that you develop data handling techniques. Familiarize yourself with the variety of forms in which economic data can be presented. Learn to interpret statistical tables, understand trends and relationship, and illustrate diagram, and analyze graphs.
Furthermore, always use the extract provided. Do not rely mainly on your general knowledge and understanding to answer some of these questions. While correct information may have been provided, it will not score any marks because the assessment objective is to make use of relevant information from the extract.
Lastly, practice, practice and practice. Answering past papers help and you can learn from the mark scheme. Download the past papers here: https://igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-past-exam-papers/
