Hi
Im doing my y10 IGCSEs ‘mocks’ soon and my teacher gave me this website and it is helpful but do you know if i have to study every year or is it not necessary to go to far back for example 2003 paper or 2010 papers?
Hi Vid,
We suggest that you start with the latest papers as they have the newest syllabus format and continue with the older ones date back from 5 to 10 years. We do not recommend to revise past papers that are more than 10 years because the syllabus may be outdated already.
Thank you for the help
You’re welcome!
Hi IGCSE centre, can you give me tips on getting A* in Biology (0610) and English (0500)? I’m desperate.
Hello V,
With Biology, there is often stimulus material for each question. This might be a photograph, diagram, drawing, flow chart, table of data, graph or just some text. Read all of this information carefully and study any pictures, tables or graphs that are included. All of it is relevant to the questions. The stimulus material is often about something that is not studied. Don?t panic. There will be enough information in the question to work out an answer. This tests the candidate?s ability to apply knowledge to new information.
On the other hand for English First Language (0500), the most important things you need to do are: read a lot and write a lot. We can?t stress enough of ?read a lot?. By reading, you will gain tremendous knowledge on how to phrase your sentences, types of vocabulary, style, etc? Besides reading, you ought to practise writing as well. You have to put to use what you have learnt.
Kindly read these articles to help you with your writing: https://igcsecentre.com/9-powerful-tips-to-score-in-writing/

Furthermore, you may be interested with A* online revision courses. These had helped numerous students to score A* The revision course provides video tutorial, revision timetable, downloadable exam-style practices, common mistakes candidates make during the exams, and also examiners? advice. Our courses have started last March 1 but the registration is still open until March 31. You still have time to catch up. Please kindly find out the details here: https://igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-revision-courses/
You can also check out our exam model answers. Many students scored A* by copying the style of the answers. Please check them out here: https://igcsecentre.com/igcse-exam-resources/
