Hello.
Is there a chance someone can help me with this question .
A six sided spinner .Amy spins a biased spinner and the probability she gets a two is 5/36.
Find the probability she
1/
A/ does not get a two
B/ gets a seven
C/gets a number on the spinner less than 7.
2/Joel spins his blue spinner 99 times and gets a two 17 times.
Write down the relative frequency of getting a two with Joel’s spinner .
3/The relative frequency of getting a two with Pierro’s spinner is 21/102.
Which of the three spinners Amy’s ,Joel’s or Piero’s, is most likely to give a two ?
Thank you.
Hey!
The answers are:
1/a)1-(5/36)
=36/36 – 5/36 =31/36
b)*Are you sure the question is complete?*
c)*Try typing in the entire question as it is.*
2/ P(2)= 17/99
3/For this question, try using your calculator to convert each of the fractions to decimals.
So, for Amy’s spinner: 31/36 =0.861111…
For Joel’s spinner: 17/99 =0.1717171…
For Piero’s spinner: 21/102 =0.20588235294….
From this: Piero’s spinner<Joel's spinner<Amy's spinner (likeliness of giving a 2).
Hence Amy's spinner is the likeliest to give a 2.
