  1. I want to ask about the writing course in English as a second language, will it include how to write report, review, letter and e-mail?

    • Hello Marwa,

According to the 2019 syllabus set by CAIE (the exam board), question 6 would be to write a report, or a review or an article of approximately 100–150 words for Core and 150-words and for Extended, in response to a short stimulus. As such, there is no more fixed one format for this exercise. We suggest that you have to learn all formats: article, review, report.

But before you begin writing, decide if you’re going to write about the topic from two sides (for
and against) or from just one (your opinion). If you write a two-sided (balanced) piece of writing, remember to include your opinion in the last paragraph. If you want to write only from your own point of view, include it in the first paragraph.

Furthermore, try to think of your own ideas on the topic which match the task and include them in your writing. For each of the ideas included in your answer, support them with evidence or examples. Note, the examiner knows that the evidence or examples will be made up and doesn’t expect these to be correct.

Lastly, remember to organise your writing: include an introduction, a middle section and a conclusion.

  3. I would like to register in your courses and make the payment on a specific devise as someone else will be doing the registration for me. I would then like to access your courses on my own device, will that work?

Also, I am currently on holiday and the person who will be paying is in my home country which I will be returning to next week. If he registers for me from my home country, will I be able to access my account when I go home? Even if we’re in different parts of the country? (which means the postal code will be different)

I wanted to enroll in your igcse physics course. Please let me know quickly so that I don’t miss the registration deadline

  5. Hello there,
I will be sitting for my ig exams next May June (2020). I would like to enroll in the three science subjects. Is that okay or will there be a change in content? Also, it’s quite late into August now. Can I still enroll in your courses? Will I be able to access the content I missed?

    • Hi Sara,

Thank you for your interest. For science subjects, next year’s examination will still follow the current syllabus. As such, you may register in this session. Last day of registration is on August 31. You still have lots of time to catch up and be back on track with our revision course. We provide a timetable and if you just follow through our timetable, each subject will take you around 30-60 minutes, more or less depending on the individual. We do not encourage long hours of studying. Our materials are updated and released weekly and you can access them throughout the course period.

      Register now at: https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-revision-courses/.

If you wish to wait, we will have another revision session next year. It would be good to take a few subjects this revision session, then few more in the next session March – April 2020. You may decide which is best for you.
