Any updated news? I’m studying IGCSE in Vietnam.
Hi Max,
Based on CAIE’s announcement, Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International AS & A Level exams will go ahead in May and June 2020 as planned. If you wish to take precautions, you may consider withdrawing your entry and then re-enter in the November 2020 exam series.
Cambridge has extended the withdrawal deadline. It is your responsibility to check that you are entered for the correct syllabuses and options. Your school/exam centre can help you in this process. However, please also be guided that not all subjects are available in the November series.
Please bookmark this page: https://help.cambridgeinternational.org/hc/en-gb/articles/360006532458-Novel-coronavirus-Information-for-schools-about-the-COVID-19-coronavirus-outbreak for regular updates.
To help you with your exam preparations during this outbreak, you may consider enrolling to our online courses here: https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-revision-courses/. We are here to ensure that the candidates still have access to study materials and exam preparation tools while the schools are closed.
We are currently extending our help to schools worldwide by offering very affordable packages. Your school will subscribe to our courses based on the number of students taking the exams, and all the students taking the exams would get free access to our courses. You may want to inform your school about this, and get them to contact us for the school packages.
If you need further clarifications, feel free to write to us again. Thank you.

Any guide on how to improve sentence structure in writing?
Hello Maryam,
You’ll have to do a lot of practices and readings. By reading, you will gain tremendous knowledge on how to phrase your sentences, types of vocabulary, style, etc… You will also have to put to use what you have learnt. Practice with past exam papers. Start with the latest paper as they have the newest syllabus format and continue with the older one date back from 5 to 10 years. You can download past papers here: https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-past-exam-papers/
Hey IGCSE,
Ive written my feb/march 2020 paper for first language english 0500 syllabus overall i am quite worried for my paper as i haven’t completely completed my paper.. like ive completed the reading comprehension the summary and i left the writers effect and the last question unfinished. Will this affect my score? Pls reply im very tensed
Hello Harshini,
The examiner will mark your paper accordingly. Unfortunately, those unfinished sections will not gain any marks.
At this point, worrying will do nothing for you. We suggest that you relax and take some deep breaths. Concentrate on the rest of the subjects, and reminding yourself on happy moments would definitely help.
there are no specimen papers for environmental management(0680) and my exams are on 4-march-2020
Hello Rudra,
Specimen papers are only available when there’s a change in syllabus. Specimen papers will not be available if the syllabus remains the same. Thus, the question format would be the same as previous years.
