Hi,
I am a year 11 student that is going to do IGCSE examinations this year. I am taking 10 subjects including French. French is a concern for me as it is not a requirement for the course that I am going to take. But in the same time I am worried that my university wouldn’t take me as other candidate certificates would be more competitive.
Hello,
I am a year 9 student going and I am going to year 10 soon
my school gives us two streams to enter for IGSCE, the international stream which allows you to take all 8 subjects on the course of 2 years and enter the examinations for all of them (testing you on all the things you took starting year 10 and year 11) on year 11.The other stream which is called 4 by 4 stream and it allows you to take 4 subjects on year 10 and get tested on them in the same year and then learn the other 4 subjects on year 11 and test them on that year too.So I want to take the 4 by 4 stream is it allowed at colleges in canada? and other colleges around the world in general like germany.
We actually suggest our students to spread out their exams. The only important thing is to complete all your IGCSE exams within 13 months. This is because there are colleges/universities that would only accept exam results that are within a certain period for example: within 13 months or 24 months, depending on each university’s entry requirements. Please get confirmation from them directly.
Hello,
I would like to know whether the new calculator Casio fx-991ES SECOND EDITION is allowed to be used in our maths and other exams in the coming May/June 2020 examination. Also, I would like to know whether mechanical pencils are allowed to be used in our exams.
Thank You
I am going to write my IGCSE maths paper 42 exams on Monday and I was wondering if in the graph question where we have to find the gradient can we use differentiation instead of the formula rise/run.
I was also wondering where to find questions for the new topics in math.

Hello Habiba,
We suggest that you focus on the university’s subject requirements. Lastly, believe in yourself and your abilities.

Hi Clancy,
Kindly read this article to understand better on what kind of calculator is allowed and what is not: https://www.igcsecentre.com/what-kind-of-calculator-is-acceptable-for-use-in-cambridge-igcse-mathematics-examinations/
Yes, mechanical pencils are allowed but soft pencil (type B or HB) are preferred for multiple choice tests.
Thank You!
