Hey, I am thinking to withdraw my May/June exams into Oct/Nov. I wonder if Mathematics core (0580), Chinese as a second language (0523) and English as a second language are available for Oct/Nov or not. And hopefully Cambridge would make it available in Oct/Nov.
Mathematics (0580) and English as a Second Language are available in November exam series.
On the other hand, as for Chinese as a Second Language (0523), CAIE is reviewing if it will be possible to provide additional syllabuses which are not currently available in the November series. Please kindly wait for their announcement.
Hello there, I just wanted to know whether it is possible to spread out the examinations for IGCSE’s over two exam series. For example, if I’m taking 8 IGCSE subjects, is it possible for me to take 4 of my subjects in the May / June series and the other 4 in the October / November series?
Yes, you are free to spread out your IGCSE examinations. We suggest that you register yourself whenever you are ready for the exam.
Meanwhile, you might want to consider enrolling to our A* courses which had produced many A* candidates worldwide. Our subscription programmes provide A/A* guarantee for candidates who follow our programme diligently. You may find out more here: https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-revision-courses/
1. how many marks and percentage do I have to obtain to get an A* In biology 610. English second lang and Hindi second lang. (extended in bio and eng)
2. is there any news about the October November series? if not, when will we get to know?
Thank you for writing in. Please see our answers below:
1. We can’t speculate that. The grade thresholds are decided after each examination has been taken and marked. The aim in each year (or examination series) is to set each threshold in just the right place to ensure that it is no more difficult and no less difficult to obtain that grade than it was in the previous year.
2. As far as we know, the November exam series will go ahead as planned.

hi ,i was thinking of homeschooling myself but im not sure on how you actually do the exams and if you would have to do a course online instead of making notes from textbook.i just want to know the full details pf homesvhooling so it doesnt get too late to begin
We always suggest candidates start early with their exam preparations. First step is to understand what is expected of you by downloading the subject syllabus here: https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-subjects-syllabuses/. Second step is to answer past exam papers(https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-past-exam-papers/). The key is to practice lots of past papers. Start with the latest one and continue with the older one date back from 5 to 10 years. Third step is to revise the common mistakes you always seem to make. Read the marking scheme and use your textbook to help you improve your answer.
Enrolling to an online course will also give you proper guidance for your homeschooling journey. Our A* courses can help you with that. To learn how it works, please kindly visit this page: https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-revision-courses/
