    • yeah. what did you get for the prism question in the multiple choice. where the temperature would be the highest

      • i chose D because i was thinking there would be ultra violet light there but i should have made that assumption. It might be c because violet light is hotter than red light as it’s closer to ultraviolet. what did you put as your answer?

          • i just checked it online, the answer is A because although you can’t see it, there is infrared light there which has the biggest heating effect /:

          • but that makes no sense. does that mean there is also uv ight below violet? and below that there is xray? and gamma rays? this question is soo absurd! I chose red cuz its closest to infra in the electromagnetic wave spectrum :/ damn

          • Thwre ia definitely UV light and infrared light because it comes from the sun

  1. Dear IGCSE Centre,
Out of curiosity, I just checked other people’s results of their IGCSE’s from past years and I noticed that any grade below 90 only received an A. When i checked this with the threshold for corresponding the year, however, the minimum grade to reach an A* was much lower than 90 for the subject. How is this so? I am getting very anxious and i would appreciate a reply

    Thankyou in advance

    • Hello Erin,

The grade threshold varies from year to year. Depending on the worldwide candidates? achievements. If the overall achievement is low, then the graph for the threshold will be low as well.

Usually, the lower boundaries are due to the difficulties of the exam papers for that year.

  2. If an A* for Co-ordinated sciences was an overall mark of 70% last year, will this year’s boundary be similar to last year?
