    • Hey a bit nervous for economics
was a little confused how to write answers in economics because in the marks scheme it says half marks will be given for list or listlike answers
so if we wanna write in points then?
like I should write in paragraph form??
How do u guys write answers???

        • When they say a list like response, they mean theat you write your answers in points, even though you write it in paragraph format. The thing they mean here is that you should say the point AND explain it for it not to be a list-like response. For example, if they ask “What causes market failure?” Then you answer, “Market failure is caused because of many reasons. No public goods are produced. Demerit goods are over produced and hence over consumed. Merit goods are under produced and hence, under consumed. …………….” This is a list like response. Therefore, You should be able to explain in your own words and how each point contributes to the question

  1. Hello, IGCSE Team.
This has been on my head for a while regarding grade boundaries. For every subject you get the required minimum for e.g. an A. Let’s just take Business Studies for instance. You have 2 papers of equal marks-Paper 1 and 2. If you mess up Paper 1 and get less than the required mark for an A, but you get so well in Paper 2 to compensate for it and end up getting an A/A* overall. You won’t get that grade because you didn’t get the minimum mark required for that A in Paper1-is that correct?
