  1. Dear IGCSE team,
May i ask that when candidates will get their result ๐Ÿ™‚ and when CIE will publish this year papers with the mark schemes ?

  2. Greetings IGCSE team,
I am a bit confused about the pre release material for computer science paper 2, as in the specimen paper they said that the centre should provide it with the receipt, does that mean the specimen paper should be provided or the pre release for our paper? I will be grateful for your help.

    • Hi Roe,
The specimen papers are for your practice only, they are not the actual exam papers. Your exam centre would advise you on the pre-release material. Please check with them.

          • Thank you very much IGCSE team for your reply :).
we talked to them but apparently they have no idea that there is a pre release material to be given to us before the exam, so I thought if you, or anyone with a pre release variant 1, would be kind to send me a copy by email I will be really grateful for it. Chasing after it here is going to take too long and tomorrow is a weekend, actually computer science is not very popular here as most of the students are taking ict.

          • Hi Roe,
It is better to write to CIE directly for this matter. Please tell them your concern in the pre release material. Their website is: http://www.cie.org.uk

We do not have any pre release material at our end.

          • Dear roe. I have the pre release material typed out. Can u send me ur email and il sent it to you.

          • O_O 6 MONTHS AGO?? honestly what are these guys doing -_-?
And when we asked them they looked as if we were from different planet, “pre release?? Before the exam?? There is no such a thing before the exam. You are going to get it during the exam only ” is what they said.
Ooh and thx a lot for pointing it out .

    • Task 1
A school keeps records of the weights of each pupil. The weight, in kilograms, of each pupil is recorded on the first day of term. Input and store the weights and names recorded for a class of 30 pupils you must store the weights in a one-dimensional array and the names in another one-dimensional array. All the weights must be validated on entry and any invalid weights rejected. You must decide your own validation rules. You may assume that the pupils’ names are unique. Out put the names and weights of the pupils in the class.

      Task 2
The weights, in kilograms, of each pupil are recorded again on the last day of term. Calculate and store the difference in weights for each pupil.

      Task 3
For those pupils who have a difference in weight of more than 2.5 kilograms, output, with a suitable message, the pupil’s name, the difference in weight and whether this is a rise of a fall.
