Those are the papers we?re missing as well. We will keep updating the past exam papers once we have them. Do check the page from time to time.
hello IGCSE,
As you know, the last paper on March 9, 2017 is business studies paper 2 and accounting paper 2. People like me, have taken both the subjects and now I’m really worried. because my accounting scores have not been really well, so I’m little tensed about the examination timetable.
Now though today I had given my ICT practicals and i also wanna know that for paper 3 which is data analysis and web authoring, the session in march 2017 will they have functions like vlookup and if condition because to be very honest I’m not well versed with these topics and currently going through the specimen paper of 2016 I didnt find such functions and it relieved my stress for time being but I really wanna confirm that are those functions really expected in session march 2017?
Hi Tanirika,
If you refer to the 2017-2019 syllabus which you can find it here: https://igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-subjects-syllabuses/ (search for ICT), under ‘Data Analysis’, it states:
Candidates should be able to:
20.1 create a data model
? create and edit a data model
– use functions, including: sum, average, maximum, minimum, integer, rounding, counting, LOOKUP, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, IF and nested functions, when necessary
So, VLOOKUP might be there as long as it is in the syllabus.
Hi,
I want to know whether the papers goes to aboard for checking or does it goes to Delhi for checking!!
pls reply asap
Thank you!!
Hi Sanika,
We cannot comment on where CIE would send the papers for marking. If you wish to know that, please write to CIE directly and enquire that.
It goes abroad I’ve heard because they externally moderate the paper. As for Delhi, CBSE papers are sent there.
dear igcse,
the rule of significant in math (0580) and physics (0625).. is it compulsory to round all answers to 3 significant figs in math and 2 in phy???? If we dont.. will it be penalised??
Hi Aakash,
It?s not compulsory to round all answers to 3 decimal points. If you refer to the instructions in the past exam papers, it says ?If the degree of accuracy is not specified in the question, and if the answer is not exact, give the answer in three significant figures. Give answers in degree to one decimal place.?
As for Physics, if you see the answers in the mark scheme always show the rounding to 2 significant figures, these are just the guidelines for correct 2 significant figures. The mark scheme has indicated:
“Answers are normally acceptable to any number of significant figures ? 2. Any exceptions to this general rule will be specified in the mark scheme. In general, accept numerical answers, which, if reduced to two significant figures, would be right.”
You can leave your answers in the way they are if you do not want to round to 2 significant figures.
Always refer to the instructions and what the questions want you to do.
Dear IGCSE team,
